3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. - Romans 5:3-5 (ESV)
This past Sunday we launched into a new sermon series on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Based on the many positive comments and emails I received, it seems this topic is of great interest and much needed for both our personal and church growth in grace. It warms my heart to see people excited to study God's Word and we pray for the Lord to use this series to teach us more about himself. This Sunday we will look at John 15:26-27, "The Spirit of Truth."
Please be reminded that our new season of First Hour (Sunday School) classes will begin this Sunday at 9:30 am. For a look at our offerings please go to http://crosscreek.us/classes
In addition, a new season of Life Group ministry is underway. We believe that small groups devoted to study and fellowship is a great way to stay connected. Remember also that our life groups are evangelistic and a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors. For more information please go to http://crosscreek.us/life-groups
Lastly, we will be celebrating Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on January 17 with a love offering to be collected for First Coast Women's Services. Your prayers and support for this crucial ministry is greatly needed and appreciated.
See you Sunday.
