Reminder that on September 10, 2016 we will be launching our Saturday evening worship service at 6 pm. As I have already mentioned, this service will be identical to our Sunday morning worship service: same preacher, same sermon, same music. It is a tremendous opportunity for people who must occasionally work on Sunday (medical professionals, fire and rescue, police, military, etc.) and for young families who struggle desperately getting the little ones ready in the morning. Think of it as an outreach to our community. We want to be both faithful to our Lord and sensitive to the needs in our community.
Ladies, have you signed up for the Cross Creek Women's Retreat? If not, you have this month to do so. Deposits for the retreat are due by July 31, 2016. I would like to personally encourage all the ladies to attend. The dates are September 16 - 17, so please make plans for some personal soul-care and fellowship. One of our core values, Renewing Grace, centers on our need for personal refreshment and encouragement in the Gospel. This is a wonderful time to gather with other ladies. I hope you make plans to go.
I cannot thank Kayce Clark and her many volunteers enough for the amazing work they are doing with the children in Cross Creek's Fine Arts Camp. Their energy is endless. Those kids are so talented and I can't wait to see how it all culminates next week.
We will continue in our Summer Sermon Series on Jonah this Sunday. See you then!
