Weekly Update: July 20, 2016

Dear Family,

As I write this blog our Fine Arts Camp is preparing to complete their second and final week. Thanks again to Kayce Clark and her amazing team of volunteers for loving and caring for so many young people. This, along with Cave Quest (our Vacation Bible School program), has done much to reach our community. I love to see our church love the community!

Please keep a couple of our missionaries in your prayers. Chuck McArthur is jet setting across the globe to equip and encourage ministers in the Gospel, and Tommy Park is preparing to start his 10th year for Reformed University Fellowship at UNF. Please pray for these guys and their families. We are so thankful for them.

Thanks to the staff for their dedicated service. Keith, Heather, Craig, Debbie, Shane and Jenn do a remarkable job. Please take the time to thank and encourage them.

As I mentioned in last week's blog, two important things to keep in mind as we approach summer: our launch of Saturday evening service on September 10 and the Women's Retreat on September 16-17.

The Matheson kiddos are participating in "Stand for Orphans" and they will have a lemonade stand set up after church on Sunday in order to raise money for Lifeline Children's Services.  The money raised at the lemonade stand will help Lifeline in their mission to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the Gospel to vulnerable children through adoption, foster care, and orphan care.  "Stand for Orphans" lemonade stands are happening all over the country and a generous donor has agreed to match every dollar that Lifeline receives through the lemonade stands up to $50,000.  Please stop by the lemonade stand, enjoy some goodies, and donate as you feel led.

Lastly, if you were in attendance in worship last week I reminded the congregation of the need to be faithful in our giving and support of the church. May we place the work of the Gospel as a priority and give with profound generosity, for the Lord has been gracious to us.

I hope you will attend worship this Sunday. My dear friend, Jonathan Jones, will be here to preach on Psalm 51, Leading With A Limp. Please keep Jonathan in your prayers as he prepares. I am so thankful for his ministry.

In Christ alone,

Paul
