I don't know about you, but I was extremely blessed by worship last Sunday. Keith leading worship, Shane's preaching, and Craig's music ministry made my heart fully satisfied on the gospel. I'm so thankful for these guys and pray that God continues to enrich them as they serve the Kingdom.
Beginning on Sunday, September 11, we will be offering a new set of adult education classes. Keith Snow will be teaching a class on the doctrine of God, Ernie Jennings will teach a class on Peacemakers (a biblical method for resolving conflict), and Shane Fowler will teach a class to youth centered on assurance of salvation (using material by J.D. Greear). I hope you will join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.
One of our sister churches, Ortega Presbyterian, pastored by my friend David Burke, will be hosting a Fall Bible Conference on September 23-24. The topic is Cultivating Holiness and the speaker is Dr. Joel Beeke. I'm quite familiar with Joel's teaching and highly recommend him. For further information and to register, please go to OrtegaPres.com.
In worship last Sunday, Keith made mention that there are some renovation and painting projects going on at the church. You will likely see some changes to our lobby by this coming Sunday. Our facility is long overdue for a sprucing and we thought it would be good to get things completed in time for our Saturday night service launch on September 10 at 6 pm. Many thanks to Sara Fowler and Laura Koerner for heading this up and for the many volunteers chipping in.
I will be back in the pulpit this Sunday continuing our series on Jonah. I hope you make plans to worship with us.
Lastly, I thought I heard an angelic voice tell me that today is Kaylee Datz's birthday. We love Kaylee and wish her a very happy birthday!
