This Sunday: New ACTS Series & Lunch on the Lawn!

Dear Cross Creek,

The LORD blessed us with a wonderful Holy Week, with services on Thursday and Friday and three on Sunday! Through it all, the Holy Spirit was at work to draw us to worship our Savior, crucified and risen again, the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!!!

Many thanks to the Cross Creek family for your hard work in serving and participating in our worship for the sake of Jesus Christ and his gospel going forth in our community. Please pray that God would continue to be at work here, that we would see the lost found and the dead raised to new life in Christ.

This Sunday, April 23, we'll be kicking off a new sermon series called ACTS – Thirty Years that Changed the World. We will also have the privilege of hearing a testimony from Mark & Carole Radford about God's work in their lives. After worship there will be a Lunch on the Lawn with a food truck (or pack a lunch if you prefer!). I hope you can make it!

Here are a few more events coming up:

  • Downtown Homeless Feeding, Tonight! (Apr 21, 6:30pm). Join the Newsom family and our college students as we travel to downtown Jacksonville to love our homeless friends by serving dinner and sharing the love of Christ with them. For more information, contact Sue Newsom at or 904-536-8224.
  • Women's One Day Retreat (May 6). "Becoming Authentic with Christ". Enjoy a day of food, refreshment and joy. Guest Kim Skinner is a dynamic speaker, author and educator and has been inspiring audiences for more than 20 years. The cost is $10 and includes lunch and materials. Register here:
  • Discover Cross Creek (May 7). This class provides an introduction to Cross Creek's mission and ministries, and is also the first step in our church membership process. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Register here:
  • Graduation Sunday (May 28). Join us as we celebrate our high-school graduates. We will play a slideshow during the service, pray for our students, and have a reception afterwards.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever.
— Psalm 136:1 (ESV)

Grace and peace,
