Our Mission

To make disciples who make disciples.

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
— Jesus, Matthew 28:18–20

Our Values

  • God’s Glory. God’s primary purpose in the world is that his name would be glorified – that a people from every tribe, tongue, and nation would know his forgiveness, and that he would be worshipped, glorified, and enjoyed by all nations. Key texts: Matthew 6:9; Psalm 86:8-9; John 4:23

  • God’s Kingdom. God glorifies his name through the coming of His kingdom. Jesus is restoring our broken world to the way God intended it to be – a redeemed fallen humanity and creation that manifests his glory. Key texts: Matthew 6:10; Genesis 1:28; Revelation 21:1-8

  • God’s Church. God advances his kingdom in the world today primarily through his church – the hope of the world. The Apostle Paul saw the churches he planted throughout the world as kingdom outposts through which King Jesus, by his Spirit, continues to make God’s invisible kingdom visible in human hearts and all of life. The church gathers in order to make disciples, and scatters as individuals to be salt and light to a culture in decay and darkness. Key Texts: Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 3:8-10; Matthew 28:18-20

  • God’s Gospel. The gospel includes good news for the lost (a new record), the found (a new heart), the broken (a new community), and the nations (a new world). The gospel is the good news that God’s kingdom has entered the world through the person and work of Jesus Christ, by his Spirit, to restore humanity’s broken relationships with God, others, themselves, and all of creation because of sin. Through the birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, God has given Jesus authority to form a new humanity by his Spirit, giving them not only a new record before God and a new heart from God, but also promising them a whole new world from God when Jesus returns. Key Texts: Romans 1:16; Colossians 1:6; Acts 2:38

There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: ‘Mine!’
— Abraham Kuyper

 Our Beliefs

Here is a brief summary of our beliefs. For more, please see the Westminster Confession of Faith.

THE BIBLE. We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

THE TRINITY. We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

SIN. We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

SALVATION. We believe that salvation is by God alone, as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

JESUS CHRIST. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

COVENANT. We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

THE FUTURE. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE. We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
